Dot NAME Domains

Launched in 2001, the Dot NAME extension is the only one meant for personal websites only. These domain names can be personal or fictitious names, nicknames and/or other labels people are known by. At the beginning, only 3rd-level registrations were permitted, so if you wanted to book john.doe.name, you were required to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration process was liberalized and second-level registrations were also allowed. Already bought third-level domains remained working.

Through our company, you can order your .NAME domain for an interval between 1 and 10 years. You will have the opportunity to alter the WHOIS information, to park your domain, to edit Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an existing domain to our company if you receive its EPP transfer key from the present domain service provider and we will renew it when the transfer has been finished. There are no particular rules on who can reserve a dot NAME domain name, but in order to preserve the objective behind its creation alive, the Registry organization may check who the Registrant is and if there is no connection between the owner and the actual domain, the registration can be challenged.

The dot NAME universal top-level domain is amongst the extensions that support internationalized domains, so we can also register a domain in any language at no added cost.
