A catch-all mailbox receives messages sent to nonexistent email addresses under the same domain. For example, an email message sent to the misspelled suport@domain.com will be delivered to support@domain.com if the catch-all feature has been enabled for the latter. Thus, you can get emails from buddies or clients who may have sent a message to your email address with a typographical error or to an obsolete one, which they may still have, but you have already disabled. Just one mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be activated for such a mailbox. This is due to the fact that at a certain point you may start receiving spam email messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding limitation means that the spam will not be re-sent to a third-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Hosting

You will be able to set up a catch-all e-mailbox without effort if you’ve got a cloud hosting account with us. The Email Manager tool in our in-house created Hepsia Control Panel is feature-rich, yet amazingly intuitive, and it will permit you to enable different features, including the catch-all one, with no more than a couple of clicks. All the email addresses that you have created will be listed in alphabetical order in this section and to the right of each one you will find a small-size "Catch-all" icon. Clicking it once will activate this option, clicking on it once again will deactivate it. As you can have just one such catch-all mailbox per domain, our system will notify you if you’ve already got another mailbox with this feature activated or if you have active email forwarding.
